From my experience, vinyl wrap sucks if your car isnt gonna be kept
in the garage for most of the time. The sun is gonna burn it up in about 2 years. Then again, I am in hot asś California.

U will need about 5’x50’ of vinyl to wrap the whole car.

Have you wrapped a whole car? I wrapped a couple pieces of interior trim and I found it pretty difficult to look REALLY good. There's always something bunching up or stretching around complex curves.

Yeah my whole car is wrapped. The big flat panels are easy to do. But when u get to the edges it becomes difficult. My front bumper was the worst. I tried to wrap it in one whole piece but realized its just not gonna happen. I had to do inlays.

It looks real nice at first, but then u start getting little bubbles here and there. And its only been about 2 years since I wrapped it and the whole thing is already discolored in different areas, and some parts have dried up and cracked.

Its just not worth it to me…I wouldnt do it again to a daily driver.

Big respect for pulling that off. Looks great from that far away. I was thinking the bumper would be tough. The double din and shifter trim is hard because it's more holes and curves than flat surface. But getting all the edges of even the flat panels to stick permanently isn't trivial on your first try. I was going to recommend to the OP to just get enough to do the bumper or maybe the hood or trunk lid to see if they can do it and be happy with the results before spending the money for the full car. It's cheaper than paint but still not "cheap" if you end up throwing it away because it's too hard to do.

Im actually getting ready to paint over my vinyl wrap. I cant stand looking at the discoloration, so Im gonna go over the whole thing with some oil-based rustoleum satin black. Ive seen some videos of people rolling it on with some amazing results. I’m gonna try it and see what happens.

If it turns out śhitty I can just peel the whole thing off and start from scratch lol.
