Fender-Paint not matching

Fender-Paint not matching

I have a 2003 G 35 Sedan, Silver. Driver side front fender was replaced and repainted. Body shop having a very touch time matching paint. Claims he used paint kit from dealership.

Any suggestions?

He could be lieing to you, doubt he got it from the dealer. Dealer paint would match fine. Problem is there is no way for you to prove that and he knows that you can't prove it.

thanks for your reply however he has done other work on my other cars without problems and did an excellent job. he told me today the paint analyst from paint company will be coming over to match up the paint via computer, hopefully that will resolve the problem.

Silver can be a hard color to match, depending on how the pigments fall when spraying......Ivory Pearl is the same way....

They may have to repaint the fender a couple of times until they get the color as close as possible.....
