Whos interested in a CF Battery Cover?

Just wondering if anyone besides myself is down to get a CF battery cover made for the G35C... I want to try to get one made for the drivers and passengers side batter cover.. if your interested let me know, i dont have a price to work with yet, but im talking to a few CF fabricators in hope to get this started. But to be honest it could be anywhere from $250~$450 each piece, im hoping it doesnt get that high but it all depends on how many people want in!

I'd be interested but the price seems a bit much. What if a simple overlay was made that could go over the battery covers? Sure it wouldn't be a solid replacement piece and it might not have "battery" etched into it but it could be significantly cheaper option. I bet Bat could make a good looking overlay that would fit.

I have been looking into this as well. I think the easiest way I have found, as someone else mentioned is to just do a CF overlay. I found a few places online that sell real CF sheets in various sizes and thicknesses. Seeing as this is not structural, and you want to cover some bumps etc, you only need the thinnest of material. I estimated the cost to be about $150 tops to do both sides. One of the websites I found even allowed an option of having adhesive on the down side of the CF. From what I have investigated, it can look pretty good. I just haven't had the ball$ to buy the CF and try it out! Maybe I'll give it a whirl and do a DIY on it.

I'd be in, but not for a price of 250-400 each.

I think the overlay is good enough, because its too difficult to make the complete cover in CF especially when the cover surface is not flat. UT, when are the covers available? Do they come in black also? From the pics, they are silver which looks good too, just curious how many options you guys will offer, thanks.

Taikeson if I'm not mistaken it will probably only come in one color, and thats the traditional carbon fiber look you see on most CF parts. It only looks silver because of the light shining into the engine compartment and the angle when the camera snapped the shot.

for $250+ it needs to be real carbon fiber... i dunno too much for battery covers well i might change my mind... so is UT gonna make the whole thing... that would look much better i think

For those of you that are still interested, I've gone ahead and organized a group buy with Unlimited Tuning. Check out the link below for the low down:
