Negative, the proper way is for both sides to be even. Remember, the light on the passenger side does not stop where the driver's light right edge begins. Cover the driver's side headlamp and you will see the passenger can blind just as badly if not more than the driver side.
How to align headlamps:
Measure the distance from ground to the headlight centers, and aim the flat part of the beam cutoff at 25' distance (against a vertical wall) to be 2.1 inches below the headlight center height. Cover one light with something while you're aiming the other light, and repeat for the 2nd light. Use a pencil or something to mark on the wall.
When you buy a new vehicle, your headlamps are 99.9% aligned.

I read through (scanned) the infinti manual. I couldn't find a word about head light aiming.
BTW, my driver's headlamp is lower than the passenger side. it is driving me nuts. I think I'll go even them out.

Reviving this thread!!!
The passenger side is always higher in America, but not always by much... it's not only because we'd blind oncoming traffic, but also because signs are mostly on the right side of the road... it is nice to see that there's a stop sign ahead when in the dark too... sorry, had to throw that in...

I see the hole for the screwdriver, but for some reason, I don't see any adjustment screw on my 05... oh, and I popped of one of those caps on accident... now it's in the fenderliner... I gotta get my car up on a lift so I can take that ish apart tomorrow *dammit!...
