Thanks guys for all the kind words.
The project cost me around $700 and I supplied all the parts.
Liep is in Euless Texas, which I think is near Dallas.

$700 for labor? so what exactly did you get done, cleared the signal lights, painted the housing black, did dual retrofit of 2 projectors... labor for all that was $700?

Yes please tell us what projectors you are using, and did he provide you with the D2S bulb or did you have to buy that seperately? How long did this take?

I'm interested in doing this, but its just too time consuming, i don't have a spare car to go to work in.... and plus i dont wanna have to remove my bumper to take my headlights apart. It's just a hassle. I rather drive my car there and have em do it, but i think the entire process will take more than a few days to finish.

So, if labor costs $700, what did parts run?

I have to give a HUGE thumbs up to Roger (GDragon) for the job he did on my headlights. He actually picked my headlights up here in Atlanta and drove back to new orleans (I believe he had other errands to run here as well but still!) I got the headlights blacked out and converted to HID's and I couldn't be happier.

Hopefully after I finish with my brakes tomorrow I can get some good pictures outside.

geez...the website hidretro.com has all the specs plus more pics.

try checking it out.

BUT...for you lazy a$$es

Acura TSX for low beam
Acura TL bi-xenon for high beam

but looking at his other project, a BMW bi-xenon looks to fit better than the Acura TL ???

Hahaha. Thanks Vinh!
I wanted to go with the BMW lights also, but Liep seemed reluctant to want to do the same retrofit as he had just completed.
I bought all the parts on ebay, except the d2s bulbs and ballast that I bought from Liep. This was on top of the $700 for the job.
I bought another set of G coupe headlights and mailed them to him to do the work while I still could drive my car. I will be putting my original headlights up for sale as soon as the install is finished, if anyone is interested.

Lightbulb

$700 sounds reasonable. The regular pricing for a low beam/Bi-Xenon projector retrofit (pair) is about $300-$400 tops. This is a 2 pair projector retrofit, so you do the math and you will see why is costs $700.

Lots of time, hard work goes into projector retrofits. It's no easy task trust me, ol' Birdy here knows a thing or two about it.
