the bulbs are from http://www.superlumination.com/

they are 7443 (rear) and 7440 (front)

you'll want to get the 15 LED bulbs ( http://superlumination.com/7443_7440.htm )on that page. in red or amber, accordingly

if you go with just front or just rear LEDs you will need 1 6 ohm in line resistor (25W) per side. if you go with both front and rear LEDs you will need 1 3-ohm (25W) in line resistor per side.

there are no bulb numbers for the door sills or overhead lights. everything on the interior is a custom setup. if you buy commercial LED bulbs for those lights then you will not get even 1/10 of the light output that the stock incandescent bulbs produce.

the only way to get great light like he has is to make LED arrays out of high intensity surface-mount LEDs. sorry.

i think the side and front markers are the same bulbs and they're equivalent to a 194 wedge bulb.

you can find them here http://superlumination.com/194.htm he used the 5LED matrix bulbs.

just fyi, you can get brighter lights for the door sills and map lights just not LEDs... I use the PIAA dome lights T-6 for the dome lights and underdoor lights... might not be as bright as a custom LED setup like your dads but still bright enough, better than stock and easier to install...

oh yeah, for sure. I had the PIAA setup in my last car and loved it. He/we were interested in doing the LED project to complete the LED theme of the car. and the "instant on" characteristic of the lights is pretty cool.

there are definitely easier/faster/cheaper ways to go about this but the custom LED conversion turned into a nice hobby-like project.

Ok... Let me see if I got this right... What I would like to do is change the clearance light, front turn signal and front side marker turnsignal, rear turn and rear side marker turnsignal to LED's.

Clearance light is 194? Superwhite to match HID's?
Front turn signal (in headlight housing) 7440? Amber?
Front side marker (near wheel well) 194? (if clear housing superwhite to match clearance lights?)
Rear turn signal is 7440? Red? In this thread it was said that it was 7443 but EVERYWHERE i've looked it lists it as 7440?
Rear side marker turnsignal (in taillight housing?) is 194? red?

Does this sound right?

corrected as needed. but you basically had it right...just that the front turn sig is 2 filament (7443)

you'll need one 3 (or 5) ohm 25W load resistor for the left and one for the right side. just wire them in line with the rear turn sigs. you can buy them at a local electronics store (or online)

Ok... well what is causing me some confusion is this... http://www.eautoworks.com/html/bulbS...1-INFINITI.htm
and this...
http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...RG-Results.htm
Because both say that they are 7440.
I also want to know what the clearance lights and the side markers are because they both list different things... The only thing I can think of is 2 vs 4 door on those sites? Please clear up some of this confusion!!!!!!!!!!

i dunno. as you can tell i dont even drive a G35. I'm telling you, from my best recollection, that the front is 2 filament. check it out for yourself/do a search on here. the topic has been covered 1920701709375873 times.
