ehm... wat you mean a fix ticket... you MUST fix it to pay for it? I mean, when you go pay for it, they check to see if you fixed it?

Cuz if that is how it works... screw that shiet. Im not paying 75$ extra to get them removed and paced back.

so what happens if I decide not to pay for it? They really should accept mail ins or something.

I have a friend with a black car, but his is a sedan so I wouldnt be able to show up and say "hey here is my car all fixed now"

Good thread. Thanks!
Looks like i have made up my mind on what % tint i'm getting.

btw: for those that have 20% on the back, is it hard to see (backup) at night time?

Wow..you do your windshield at 20 percent normally, but want 5 percent now? How will you be able to see at night with that dark of a tint. Not only would that be illegal, but it is also extremely dangerous in my opinion....

If you put 5% on your windshield you are just begging for trouble.

You're going to kill some poor slob trying to cross the street at night if you don't get hassled by la chota first.

5% on the windshield? You might as well drive around with a sunshade on. I'm a big fan of dark tint, but I don't see the point in getting less than 50% on the windshield. I have very dark tint all around so my windshield already looks tinted when it's not.

i have a denali for 20% on the windshield and 5% on the sides and about 2-3% on the back windows... dark as ****.. visibility is fine at night. it is reduced, but it is fine.

i know it's crazy, but it's just something i like doing, that's that, hehe.. i am THINKING about 5% but most likely i will just get 15% (because 20% wasnt dark enough for me and i think 10 or 5 will be tooe extreme)...

the cops dont sweat me either for some reason... so im going to stick with my luck... im just worried about the windshield cracking during tinting... but i think im going to do it since the dealership promised to pay for it anyway when i bought the car =P

I depends on the color or your interior. If you have a light interior color get a dark tint 20% - 5%. Personally I have 35% tint and a black interior so it looks like 15% at night and I never get messed with by the cops ( knock on wood )
