Hydraulic Hood Lifters

Does anyone know if there's a way to install hood lifters on the G35 sedan?

There was a recent thread somewhere on this topic, but no one has done it yet.

Well, I know from talking with the dealer, who spoke to a factory rep, that on the COUPE (I know you are asking about the sedan), but on the Coupe, because it has an aluminum hood, they intentionally did not do it, as it could buckle the hood if something was misaligned, etc... Maybe the same is true for the sedan, find out if it's a steel or aluminum hood....

Re: Hydraulic Hood Lifters

If you run a hydraulic hood lifter past the center and close to the end of the hood it will not bend the hood, the Saab 9-5 has a very good example of how this is done.

The sedan also has an aluminum hood.
