I'm a fan of LED wedge bulbs to tell you the truth. They don't match the factory HIDs but the slightly blue hue is mesmerizing The PIAA Super Whites have a little purple-yellowish look to me. The MTECs are great for your fog lights, that's what I have. Don't know what's wrong with the link, check the entire thread, the posts I linked are on the last page:

I really dont know whether these are the real deal or not but maybe one of you guys that already bought them may know:

Hey WillJV, the MTECs I bought came in the exact same box. Just judging by the two pictures there, I'd say they're both the real deal. They both have the same wattage and Kelvin scale, but there's one minor difference. If you look at the first one its called "MT 439" Super White where at the second is titled "MT 461" Colorful White. Using my unscientific judgement here, the Colorful Whites are merely the exact same bulb with a metallic blue ring. The ring gives off more of blue look in the housing when the lights are turned off. Sort of a non-illuminated angel eye type effect. Again thats just my guess but its probably the case.

Hey Finity:
I'm planning on ordering all bulbs needed today. In the thread you posted i noticed you mentined liking Wedge 6 LEDs better than the PIAAs Super White and that's what i'm planning on getting.
I noticed you recommended www.superbrightleds.com and i see them there:

Now i'm planning on getting these bulbs as my clearance and side markers light but i wanted to double check with you if i do need to purchase the resistor as well?

Each "white" LED comes out to $3.64 and the each resistor is $4.95. When you get a chance let me know if i need a resistor with each LED or if i wont need the resistor at all...

Thanks for taking the time to help me out...

Birdman:
I'll be ordering the MTEC Super Whites today, I still see them on ebay with the blue ring so i probably get those...

Thank you

WILLJV....
Sorry to get back to you so late in the game, The MTEC's are the Super White I think you have the same packaging as the ones I bought. The Piaa Extreme White Bulbs are 168/194 type. They are 5 Watt bulbs.

You can find them online. I purchased mine from import performance warehouse

You don't need any resistors for the 6LEDs at all, so just 2 bulbs for the clearance and 2 for the clear corners (if you're upgrading those too). The resistors are only needed if you get the PIAA Teras but they come with the package, so don't worry about that.

The reason why I like the 6LEDs better than the PIAA white/white LEDs is first because they're only ~$7 for 2 as opposed to $18 for the PIAAs and second because they're brighter and fill the clearance strip better. What I did was purchase 4 extra ones and I replaced my trunk, license plate and upper glove box lights, and I love how all of them look now. You might want to consider that too and only pay once for shipping.

The reason why I said I like the 6LEDs better than the PIAA Xtreme Whites (non-LED) is because LEDs look much cooler even though the actual light output is less. Some people are scared they'll get pulled over for running LEDs with a blue hue, but the 6LEDs aren't that blue at all.. you should see the 9LED I have now..

And you're very welcome, I'm still experimenting myself..

Fogs

Thanks guys, I didn't realize there is a metal clip on both sides of the fog light bulb, and since I didn't take the wheels off it was hard for me to get to them, but once I knew there are two clips I got them out and put new ones in in no time.
I went with Catz Super whites H4s for the fogs, which match pretty close to the HIDS, but would go with MTECs if I had to do it again, and PIAA LED white/white for the clearence strip which light up the strip nicely but are bluer then the rest of the bulbs.
