Ok, so I'm sort of showcasing a mastery of the obvious here but nevertheless I found this quite amusing, so I figured I'd share it with you all.

Sunday morning I walked out to my car to find a little surprise waiting for me. On the passenger side of the rear bumper, there was about a foot long crumple where someone had backed into my car and left w/o leaving a note of course. So, I called the cops to have them come out and write up a damage report in order to go through the joyful experience of insurance coverage. A female deputy showed up, asked me a few questions, and begins writing the report up. She glances at my back bumper, stops and says:

"You told me this was a G35."

"Well yes technically it is I've changed the emblems out"

"No, it says Nissan Skyline."

"Well some of us over here in America have switched out our emblems to the Japanese style because its more rare and seperates us from the rest of the crowd."

Typical with cops, she got an attitude and went off.

"You know I could take you to jail for this. Your basically lying about your vehicle and if an officer pulled you over and you provided him with the incorrect information you'd be up against serious charges."

So ladies and gents thats the deal, the Fuzz isn't too fond of the JDM badging. Cops, geeeez.

 

There's no law against rebadging. She doesn't know what she's talking about. If it were against the law, then all those Shelby Mustang clones out there would be in violation. The VIN and licence plate is all she really needs.

 

I must respectfully disagree. She needs to pull her head outa there & get some fresh air & sunshine + one of those things called a life . . . . outside the confines of work which can be considered life if you're all twisted up in it & can't tell the difference.

 

perhaps if the police were more concerned with the felony hit and run they were supposed to be investigating, and less concerned with your emblems they might actually find the person that did it. Seems like the police are worthless............except to write people tickets.

what biatch, some many cars get cloned out there, like mustangs=>cobras, caprices=> impalas and so on, she doesnt know what shes talkin bout, she was prob PMSing

 

Then all those hondas that are suposedly "Type-Rs" are all going to jail!!!!! haha! Since when did Honda make a type R family sedan????
