I recall seeing an image of a grey g35 w/ carbon fiber hood. The edges of the hood were color matched to the grey paint. Middle of hood was bare CF.

I know that car....its got 5 spoke 5zigs i think...and a turbo....hott ride fo sho...im about to paint my CF hood next week (IP) and im still on the fence about what i should do.....right now, im thinkin paint it all and go for a clean look...but the options are really endless as to what i could do with it...paint the sides, leave the vents exposed, fade to IP from CF, etc etc etc...prally just go all IP - i think that will be a safe bet, and a smooth look...

 

Mine was faded at the last vent.........and it has since been redone.

Thanks, but I have been modifying my other two toys (2004 CBR600RR & 2005 Ducati S2R) so I haven't given my car much attention lately.

Here ya go, That was the wrong one.

 

Why is the inside of the sideskirts blue?

 

that is just blue masking tape to stop the sideskirts from getting chipped by rocks from the tires when he's traveling. its a show car so im pretty sure he just uses that tape when he's going from point A to B.

Not to hijack the thread, but has anyone heard of the Seibon CF hoods shrinking and fading? Someone mentioned this to me and it's the only thing holding me back right now.
