Question interior panel dent?

Hello Everybody,

I recently purchased a 2005 G35 sedan. Car has ben great so far but I recently notice that I have a small "dent" on my drivers interior door panel from resting my elbow in that area (right on the front edge, top of the panel). I recall seeing a posting regarding this but couldn't find it when I did a serach.

Can this be a bad panel or bad material/design ? I don't think this can be acceptable for a car in this class, price range. Car is only about 4 months old with approx 1200 miles on it. Anybody else have this problem?

Thanks!

that is funny I noticed the same thing today on mine aswell. If you let it sit it eventually goes back to normal but with boney elbows I guess it will be here to stay. I doubt the dealer can do anything about it...just crappy padding.

Thanks Burrcold. I thought maybe it was just my car that has this problem.
I did notice that it kinda goes back into shape but you can still see the dent.
I'll probably run it by the dealer when I bring it in for the free oil change.

BTW, what year is your G?

Thanks again!

I would have them look at it. My old honda Del Sol did the samething after I got it. I massaged or worked out the vinyl and coated it with armour all at the time and worked great. But have the dealer look at it, Infiniti is great about that. I had some interior problems when I got my QX4. they took care of it!

Thanks everybody for checking their panels. I'll mention the problem to the dealer when I bring my car in and see what they have to say. There's also a 2005 G coupe in the parking lot where I work at. I took a peek and I also saw a small dent on the panel too. Wasn't too bad but you can see it if you know what to look for. Even if the dealear decides to swap out the panel (which I doubt they would do), I have a feeling the same thing would happen on the replacement panel. Not a big deal, I still love the G!
