Re: De-Badging Question

Question, how are you guys debadging it? Are you just using like floss or something to get underneath and then take out the glue? I've debadged other cars but wanted to know if thats how you took them off this one.

Re: De-Badging Question

it was about 90 deg and i parked the car outside so it pretty toasty.i was able to pull them out using my finger nails.you can use the hair dryer if you need.what you want is to heat up the tape behide the letters so the glue melts away.use your finger nails to fry it out and pull.if it tough then get the floss.once they out,use your thumb or moist micro fiber towel to roll away the glue/tape.spray some WD-40 in the towel to finish the job up.now clean the area again to remove the WD-40.spray some meguiar's spray-wax,let it sit for 10 minutes, buff it with microfiber towel and whoa laa...job well done.

Re: De-Badging Question

If you use a small flathead screwdriver wrapped in a small terry-cloth to pull the emblem slightly off the car, you can then grab it with your fingers and pull it right off. With the left over adhesive on the car, you can use your fingers to "roll" the adhesive right off. After that, I used goo-gone, then clayed/waxed the areas. Looks good as new.. oh wait, it is new... well you get the point.

Re: De-Badging Question

Hi:

One way to debadge is to use floss but when you slide it, pull back toward your self. This will keep the floss off of the paint. When the emblem comes off there will be some glue residue. You can remove this with products mentioned above and by lightly rubbing it with your fingers. I did mine this way and there are no marks or other signs that the emblems were ever there.
