How many times have you repainted your bumper (if you have at all)? Is it safe to repaint more than once? After how many repaints do you feel the quality of the bumper will begin to suffer?

Sorry if these seem like dumb questions - I just had my bumper repainted about 4 months ago and today i scratched the sh#t out of it and will have to get it repainted again soon.
