Custom molded Emblem holder (KS Front)

Hey guys, my car is coming along pretty well (just a lot of modification needed to be done)

and since you know for the people that bought the Replica kit, the kit did not come with the emblems, so what i did is i went out and bought a KS emblem (i think it's originally from S15 Silvia, but since i need an emblem and it says KS (which i tihnk fits KenStyle pretty well), i bought it)

my bodyman has spent a good 4 hours to sand the original emblem holder part down and shaped the new holder and it'll fit PERFECTLY in it now =]

looks pretty sweet, sorri for the bad quality, i used my phones camera.. i'll take better pictures once my car is done, for now, here is some roug pix =]

enjoy guys

Here is the Emblem (imagine that in Dark Blue)

and here is the rough shaped emblem holder =]

enjoy guys!

lovin it....that's how you come up with originality and creativity...

that was my initial plan when getting the original KS kit, to be different, but guess that idea has been thrown out the window since everyone and their grandma has this kit now

i guess i can be comfortable knowing I have fairly good taste when it comes to bodykits

Pretty unique solution. I'd be curious to see how it turns out.

Nice but why did he leave it open? Why not fill it in and stick it on?

I don't think it looks bad at all but I'm curious about the cost. You say you didn't want to drop $100 for the KS emblem, right? Well how much will the four plus hours of body work cost?

$0, my bodyman liked my idea with the emblem (originally i was just gonna ask him to shave the top n bottom end of the emblem holder part (because the original shape is 5cm by 5cm) so i can fit the emblem that i bought in (6cm by 4cm)

but he said instead of doing that, he'll sand it all down n remake it so it'll b of it's shape, at no extra cost, because he wants to do it =]

does that answer your question skeleton

that's a Silvia K's emblem.... Nissan had a weird playing card based naming scheme going on with the Silvia's IIRC....
K's (King)... Q's (Queen)... J's (Jack)... and the ACE logo (Almighty) editions.

look here Performance Nissan 240SX Emblems
