I'd be lying if I said I wasnt a little worried about that, I have two vehicles and usually when I drive my G35 its never far away or I park it in a well populated area where everyone can see. I was thinking about trying something different to keep thieves away but I'm not sure what..

Hey man,

It is hard to tell from your picture but it looks like the LED light is very evenly distributed in the clearance strip. How did you do that? I would assume that if you used a strip of LEDs you would get little hotspots? It seems that is not the case with your retro.

I don't know why Gdragon stopped doing retrofits, but as a former HID projector retrofitter myself chances are it's the money-work ratio. Retrofitting multiple headlamps get tedious after a while even when the money is good. The extra money isn't worth the lost time and additional work.
I still have not begun on my own headlamps, but when I have time I want to put a different projector system in there. When I am finished with my own and see what difficulty rating it is, I may even offer to do someones else's.

This is a response from another company that does retrofits:

"The dual projector retrofit on the G35 is probably the most expensive
retrofit there is. It requires a lot of parts and time. Probably something
that's not a first choice for someone on a budget. Parts cost about $950
and labor is about $750.

You could do a single projector retrofit for much less then that. Labor
would be $350 and parts would be about $300 (depending on the projector you
wanted to use; could be less or more then that). "

I got them in today and I'm taking them to the body shop so everything can be installed. Rog (GDragon) actually wrote me and thanked me for letting him do the headlights so I'm very impressed.

The first time he did my headlights he happened to be in Atlanta so he picked them up and took them back to Louisiana himself, I cannot say enough about the guy and that is why I didn't mind paying whatever to get this done.

The low beams are off of a 3 series if I remember correctly and the fog lights/high beams are off of an M3, and I didnt think there would be a difference but there is. The bixenons allow me to switch from the low to high with the same switch that changes the fog lights to the high beams on the oem headlights. so..

oem hid's = projector hid's now
oem halogen fog lights = low beam hid's
oem halogen high beam = high beam hid's

The man retired, too time consuming for him considering he works full-time plus extra hours sometime. He found self-satisfaction when seeing the final work of the customer's headlights, but again he didn't have much time to do it so he decided to retire.

He still has one of our other friend's headlights to retrofit and he might do a dual for himself when he finds the time.

Ok, the real reason is that he has too many women to deal with
