Can 05 tails fit 03-04?

Has anybody done a tailight swap? Looking at the rear of both cars, it looks like the dimensions of both tailights are identical, though the 05 gives off the illusion that its tails are larger.

you can indeed do the swap, I did it on my 04'.. It costs about $450-500 for both the tails and the reverse lamps.. The opinions are mixed on this front, but I like em, plus it keeps with the Theme of the G Sedan (05+),the 06 G Coupe (Also getting dual LED Circles), and the new M35/M45...

Also, the 05 Tails are slightly wider, they bulge on the side, which is part of the reason people don't like em.. to me, it doesn't bother...

Nice. I've been heavily debating new vehicle in Spring. I have a 2001 Maxima SE right now with a handful of mods, but I'm just getting tired of the car, honestly. It's fast with the few performance mods I got on it (stays neck and neck with my uncle's 2005 G35X), but I think I'm ready to move on to something new. Something different. I've been heavily debating a 350Z, G35C, or an 03-04 G35x and do the tailight swap. Decisions, decisions.

Oh no wonder, i was looking at a Sedan and the tailights looked different, it has Circles instead of the traditional Bars. Well this explains it

I got tired of my Maxima in 4 months. Got tired of my G coupe in 5. All I can say is, before you start thinking about tail light swaps, test drive, test drive, test drive and see what's right for you.

You too? Well not exactly tired, but the plans that I had for it aren't going to happen, and I've totally lost any interest in modding it. When are you going to be back? We should have a meet soon.

Well, we just purchases a brand new fully loaded FX35, so I'm really looking forward to that car. Having two four-door vehicles is pointless to me, so I want to sell my Maxima next Spring for a coupe. I've driven the 05 sedan many times (uncle has one) and I like it a lot. It handles so well stock, and the interior is so nice too.
