Nah he didn't latch his hood the right way and it got loose. Duc was talking about the mesh on the bumper. We took an hour drive on the highway and almost all the mesh was off by the time we got to HIN.
Pretty sad.
We hooked him up w/ some customautomesh and our mounting hardware and he was all good to go. That stuff won't come off.

From what the main office in Japan told me, the grills on the front bumper should have silicone added to permanently attach them. The wire is not intended to hold the grill on by itself.

I'm sure replicas even come with a grill.... or wires for that matter! Even my GReddy was only held on by this very soft bendable wire and has come off on one side. You gotta remember, some people don't want the grill at all, maybe they have an FMIC they wantto show off better, and maybe some people have nothing and would like something to cover up the big hole and try to keep leaves and such off the radiator. You think people really wanna fight it too much to get the mesh OFF? Then they would complain about that too. But who changed the subject to grills anyway? Sounds llike more BULL**** bitching to me.........

Yea totally!
Why not just eliminate the cheap wire tabs and go with something a little stronger. $ for $ it's not going to run you much more, or do you think the extra $1-$2 in material will hurt your "small" profit margins?
It just doesnt make sense! Use stronger hardware and there's NO need for silicone. Not using silicone also makes it easy to remove if the time comes to replace or repaint the mesh.
Time for a memo to the home office.....
