Before you use dental floss on each letter make sure to hold a hair dryer to it for a minute or so. It will get really hot and melt the glue making it 100 times easier to get the letters and goo off.
Also I noticed you want to remove the logo and infiniti letters. I think the best looking is to take off the G35 and Infiniti letters and leave the logo. Thats what I did, just my opinion though..

If I do take off the logo are they any holes that will be left behind or is it just goo that is holding it in place?

That was my idea at first but after looking at many pics I think I like the trunk with letters more than without. Anyone have pictures of the trunk with all the letters without the Logo?

Just goo.

If you have one of those (better) craft erasers that you're willing to use, those work pretty well for getting the goo off... I was a bit scared of putting the Goo Gone solution onto the paint so the erase did wonders.

I took off only the Infiniti letters (replaced the emblem and G35 with black pearl ones). I think it looks alot better (less busy) and is MUCH easier to wash.

Is the goo hard to take off? I'm planning to debadge everything from the trunk (Logo and letters). I don't want to make it look a mess after it is debadged so are there any easy method of removing the goo?

Just use one of those "goo off" products (like 3M).

Some jack@ss used a friggin screwdriver (or something) and stole by black chrome emblem... put a nasty 3" long by 1/8" wide scratch/gouge on my trunk!

Now I have to order a new emblem, have it black chromed, have the trunk repaired & airbrushed all to the tune of $200-$250... all because some dirt bag wanted an Infiniti logo. What a D!CK!!!!! I can’t imagine it was a G owner – probably some crack head thinking he could sell it??? Or a punk kid thinking it would be cool to have (for whatever reason). Just pisses me off!!!

Anyway, as others have said - fishing line or floss will get the letters and emblem off with ease... the adhesive will rub right off with compounds mentioned or a buffing block (I don’t know the technical name for it, but the guy that does my emblems used one and it worked great).

www.infiniti-parts.com has black chrome/pearl logos

Not cheap, $200 for the set or ~$70 for individual pieces.
