Headlight not working

My passenger side headlight was not working, the fogs and the clearance strip were working fine, and magically the next day it started working again

My car did this a month ago and now its doing it again...not sure what it could be...

has anyone had this problem or can anyone provide an explanation?

Check to see if the harness connection has come loose.

update!

The dealer replaced the bulb and the ballast today! they were not sure what was causing the problem so they replaced both.....works fine now...there did not appear to be any moisture or problem with the seal as far as i could tell.

as far as turning on the headlights slow, i dont know what you mean by that, i just turn the switch like everyone else...

Thanks for the input guys!!!

Yea I don't agree with you on that one. There's no incorrect way to turn your headlights on.
