What kind of lights

Give you that weird blueish/purpleish color? I'm talking about the stock lights on some cars (BMW comes to mind). You'll be looking at the lights as teh car goes by and it will sort of "glimmer" between purpleish and blueish.

I'm not talking about any silly Honda rice stuff, this is definately stock on higher end cars.

What you are talking about is light that sits on top of projector headlight cutoff bands. The blue effect is called "projector flicker" Here is an example of this:

From far away the light appears to be very blue or purpleish but as the car approaches you the light changes back to white.

Valeo projectors (Audi,Porsche) tend to have this color stock. You can modify other projectors to produce this light by extending the distance between the lens and reflector bowl. Bending the cutoff shield does the same thing as well.

Yes it can be done to a G35. If you have an 03-05 G35 Coupe or sedan you would have to retrofit a projector into your headlights. If you have an '06 Coupe you would just have to open up the headlights and modify the existing projector. Would it look stupid? I don't think so.

I'm pretty handy with tools and being creative with making things fit, etc. Any suggestions as to where to look, search for, etc for such a project? Obviously "projectors"... is that like a reflective curved "dish" of sorts? Is it more like a prism? Thanks for your info.
