having trouble retightening fog light cover

Did anyone else have trouble putting the round black cover back on after replacing the fog light? It worked no problem on the passenger side. The driver side - it goes on and twists tight for about 1 cm, then slips. It was nice and snug when it came off.

It's so hard to see what might be the problem???

I have left it in a tight position, but if you twist it half a cm left or right, it's going to be loose. Worried that with vibration, it might come loose.

Any suggestions? I played with it for an hour cursing the whole time! (The other side took 10 mins start to finish to change the fog)

Take out the headlight and see what is going on. You don't want that cover to come off or be loose as condensation will enter the housing.

PS: You need to remove the bumper to get to the headlight (Don't do it the ghetto way of taking only the top clips off)
