no, our cars come with around 4300K stock. The difference in "K" is the color. The higher the number goes, the more bluish-purple it becomes. The lower the number is closer to yellow.

A higher Kelvin rating does not mean you have high light output. You actually lose light. 4300k is the best visibility kelvin. Anything higher is usually just for looks.

Basically saying, 4300K is brighter than 10,000K but 10,000K will be more blue or purple, maybe even pink

just to add...

All stock HID bulbs are rated at 4100k - 4700k. The reason why some HIDs look really blue (audi, bmws) is because they use a projector to shine the light. The light output that shines on the floor is the same color, but the cut off or horizon of the light has a very unique patern. In the cutoff, there is a slight rainbow effect, and this is where we usually see the cool blue color. Blue has the strongest wavelength of all other colors, which give it the largest area in the projector's cutoff. Some people change their HIDs (like I did) to 6000k to have a similar color/look as the projector's cut off color.

I have to admit, those ebay HID sellers have done a good job convincing everyone that higher K = BRIGHTER.

I think the newer G35 coupe lights are 85126+ bulbs. Means that they are 5000K ones. I have a pair of those, but honestly, they're not as bright as the 4100K 85126 ones.

Just a little added "fun fact" to know about the color of certain lights, and their wavelengths...

Why is the sky blue? Why is a large body of water blue? Why???? Every color in the rainbow are everywhere, but reason why blue stands out is because they have the strongest wavelengths. While all the other colors fade out, blue forces itself through and shows it's color the most. During a sun set is when you start to see the other color because the earth's atmosphere acts as a spherical lens that surrounds the world... much like a projector lens on HID cars. The sunset we see is when we're getting hit by the sun's light cut-off. Translated: The cool flickering color we seen from an HID car driving behind us is when we're getting hit by the HID's cut-off.

The first projector HID was created by God, using the sun and earth's atmosphear

Wow... Thanks for digging up a 3 month old thread to tell someone you wanted to sell your HIDs, when you could have PMed him, or posted it in the classifieds.
