yellow fog lights

hey guys!!!
I think this is my first thread of this awesome site. For the first few days I have only been reading which was fun to say the least. It's crazy to read all the problems people have with their G's right after you just got one. The A/C smell thing, the TINT dot matrix bubble problem, the metal TINT messing up your reception problem and finally the just got a intake but my car stall when I go into neutral problem. Geez this was a hell of a emotional roller coaster.

I tried researching this topic extensively but to no avail. I want to chage my fog\high beam lights to a deep yellow. Kinda like the cars you see in the Le Manns. I read this one guy moog just got a cover for his existing H4 bulbs. but i was thinking that the might melt if you have your highbeams on too long. Or that it might reduce the integrity of the light output. Does anyone have any suggestions? BTW I saw this new M3 on the freeway the other day and I think this guy put some yellow plastic over his headlight cover because his HID's were glowing green. they were pretty sick but not for me.

Why would it melt? The cover is made for the application.

There are H4 bulbs that produce yellow light without caps. Its usually rated at 2300K or so. Just search online and your will find them.

Reason I chose a cap over yellow tinted bulbs:

1. Replacement of a burnt out bulb is $5 compared to $30-$80.
2. Yellow color is a lot deeper yellow.

no, because the yellow fogs and HIDs are separate beams. And the HID light is white anyways.

Do they make yellow caps for H1 bulbs? (the fogs in the 06' lights). I've only found caps for H4 bulbs...
