Ya the Seibon is ****...That's why I got it. LOL. It fits perfect and people have asked me how the CF hood fit so "perfect". Anyways, I painted my CF hood to match my car so if you want the original then buy it...if not, the seibon is perfectly fine. Oh ya and I didn't know the seibon was a 'knockoff' til after I bought it. I got it for a great price anways so I can't justify paying that much money for some "japanese" brand hood or body kit. They make so much money off us it's ridiculous. Thank god for knock off brands that fit perfectly fine and look nice.

 

And whatever G352NV said was the most ignorant comment ever. Ha. "...you won't be happy..." I can afford the best for my car but I chose the Seibon hood bc it fit perfectly fine and looks just as good as the TS to ME. Although the more money you pay, the more likely it is to be better this isn't true ALL THE TIME...and in this case it's not. The seibon hood looks good to me.
Just kuz I spent over 3600 for my rims doesn't make them any better than 'cheaper' Volk rims or knockoff rims. For all I know they are the same quality.

 

I second that. Seibon make good quality stuff, its VIS you need to be worrying about.

 

G352NV, you jus got a bad roll on the seibon dice.

 

It's not just him, nearly everyone i've ever talked to that had seibon cf parts have had complaints about fitment, weave, and the infamous color changing resin. (it turns yellow) But don't take my word for it, do some searching on other forums and you'll see for yourself.

BTW, Ant, It's about quality, not brand name. If an any legit company was making the highest quality cf hoods out there, i'd totally support them. (regardless of branding or country of origin) Saying "They make so much money off us it's ridiculous" is what's really ignorant here. Not that it even has any value with the issue at hand here bu you'd be very suprised how little most of the people in the automotive aftermarket industry make. How many industry people have you seen rolling in $$? I'm sure not any I work for several different companies. The truth is, alot of these knockoff companies like Seibon are the ones making tons of money with "throw away" quality products that cost almost nothing to produce. They have no problem stealing other designs (no r&d needed) and they value quantity over quality....that formula seems to work well in the U.S. wheras in Japan, quality and authenticity is valued.

BTW, feel free to enlighten us all with pics of your hood ant...i'm sure we'd all love to see the "perfect fitment."

 

Hmmm its a good thing I dont know what Im talking about! LOL. I have been doing paint and bodywork for a LONG *** time. This site kills me I TRY and tell people about products and shops but yet I always get it thrown back in my face, until I get PM's from members about the SHOP or knock offs. Do I have intrest in TS? NO I DONT! My posts on this site are always true and to the point. Even if I own something I paid a lot of money for. After I finally got the hood to fit after major work I went to shoot it. I also ran into many problems with that! Tell you guys what you roll the dice and gamble, Im done with that ****. I dont have time to deal with something fitting or not. Maybe your bodyman will.
