Heated seats question

Hi guys, does anyone have this same behavior from their heated seats? Mine do not get warm until the car is warmed up, basically at the same exact time the blowers go on when the car is set to auto temp control.

Also, I've tried a search, but its tough finding information using the search control, it will give me hits back for each word and not the two words "seat" and "heater" together. Anyone know search commands that will allow for this search refinement?

No; mine come on right away.
The only delay is the time it takes for the elements to warm up...
Way b4 the blower kicks in.

Thats so strange. Any of you have an 05 or 06? Just want to make sure it isnt something they changed in later years...

sometimes mine take a little bit to heat up...like you said around the same time the blower heats up. But most of the time it just takes a few minutes like intgr8r said

Mine heat up fairly quickly however the lowest temperatures I've come across since I've owned the G is the 30's. They seemed to take a bit longer to warm up when they were that cold.

Where are you from? If you see really low temperatures it may be possible to expect this behavior.

You do know there is a high and low setting, right? Very likely you do but I had to ask.

My car is just an 05, and only a few months old. My seats heat up within a few minutes.

Thanks for the input guys. Its probably that the seats take a while to heat up when really cold (i'm in RI, normal temps right now are right around 30 degrees, usually colder when I drive to and from work tho). However I have also noticed my seat heaters seem underpowered, I leave mine on high, even on long trips like my 3 hour ride to and from NYC when I went home for the holidays. Low is pretty ineffective, almost not noticeable. Which is strange, cause the first thing I noticed when I took an 05 auto out for a test drive when I was shopping was that the seats were really nice and toasty. I think I'll have to make a trip to the dealer and try out another car.....

When I have my seats on low, its pretty nice and toasty. When I have it on high, it starts go get uncomfortable and sweaty after a while. But then again, I live in southern California.

I have had the same issues since day 1 with my G (03)! IMO they stink! It takes a year and a day for them to warm up and even on high they are barely noticeable. If I am wearing jeans I never feel it. The only time i would feel it is when I am wearing like wind/gym pants but it takes at solid 10-15 min for them to get workin and LOW is useless. I have even slipped it on on the passenger side to see if my passenger would complain about the heat but they never do!
