So even if you have a black car, the ings face ducts will still stand out if it has a chrome accented fin. That chrome accent was what held me up on the install. I had 3 plans of going about it to have a chrome accent. Plan A would have looked REALLY HOT if it worked. I really fought for it (killed my fingers), but it just wouldn’t work. Luckily plan B worked ok, but it doesn’t look as good.

Plan A was using the chrome strips, used as door guards. The fin was too thick, and I couldn’t get the strips to hold. Plan B was simple… chrome/mirror vinyl. Plan C, I would have looked into some kind of chrome paint. Now you know my secret. I really didn’t want to give it up, but oh well

So just so I understand you... you used chrome vinyl? Where did you find strips of it like that? Or did you cut them yourself?

I love the chrome look on it.
I was actually thinking how I might be able chrome the whole thing so it would look similar to the new Coupe Concept.

Yeah, I took a vinyl strip... probably cut it around 22"x1" and just stretched it on.

Wow, I like those pictures! I havent seen those pictures/angles of the concept before. Its very curvy and sleek... but it lacks the beafy powerfull look that ours has.

As for the chrome vents. You would be better off trying the Bats overlays. Ask him do cut it in chrome/mirror vinyl. That'll look more like the concept, since it will just be the inner walls, and no fin, or lip that rolls out of the vents.

Yeah... remember though, the chrome door guard strips wont work. Doesnt Autozone carry those chrome vinyl stickers too?.... if you have the chrome pinstripes, that should work! I used to work at a tint shop where we did vinyl graphics, so that was right there for me too

Hey, since you work at autozone... do you know if they make those chrome door gaurds in a larger size? That would work really well!!!!

Again, how is the fitment when installed? And, do you mind if I used your pics to be posted on the other threads? By the way, I have 3 pairs in stock that I just received. I will send them out maybe today or thursday to the first 3 person in line.
The fitment is great. I had to sand down about 3mm from the bottom of it to fit with my molded lip. I think it would have fit better if I had them both installed at the same time. Overall, I think the fitment was pretty much dead on. My only problem was that I molded my lip, and just hoped I did it right so it could still fit these face ducts. Unfortunately, I was off by a few millimeters. And yeah, you can use my pictures in other threads in this forum. But if they ask why the center fin is chrome, just tell them that the owner of the car customized it that way. And dont tell them how I did it Let them find out for themselves lol

Also, since theres alot of pictures and alot of people viewing them, I might go over my monthly bandwidth limit, so if they dont work later on, you'll have to host it somewhere else.

So, did you find a larger chrome door gaurd? The vinyl works fine, but I'd rather have a larger door guard... if there is one.
