I do think that the mounting mechanism needs to be improved. The instructions are the first step and when you make them they should be quality (include detailed descriptions and pictures), but I think you should also include the required epoxy with the mounting hardware.

Its not like im fuming mad over the whole situation, i was more just in a WTF state of shock, im not expecting anything like a refund, Im just writing how i feel about the whole situation.

And the $20 bill comment was just a joke, i didn't know that was a sensitive subject round here.

Well guys, the good thing is that we will be drafting instructions to include in all orders. We are also investigating alternative ways to mount the mesh. We have one system, which was actually created by BRANDO aka OLDVFRGUY which may test. I may contact him to see how his system has held up, but we always like to KNOW something works as opposed to taking other peoples words for it.

As far as the epoxy goes, it will be tough for us to include. In addition, most times a body shop would be handling the install and they should already have the proper materials, if not better, on hand. We used the 7 min fiberglass epoxy purchased at HD for BABIEPHATS TS front mesh install and it worked well. I believe COupin used the putty which is probably a little easier to work with. We had received some feedback that sometimes the putty doesn't bond as well which is why we typically reco the 7 min liquid epoxy.

The new method would also require 7 min epoxy, however, it would be much easier to work with as it can be a little bit of a PITA to develop n keep a puddle of epoxy over the wire.

We appreciate everyone's feedback (customers, not peanut gallery) and hope it will yield only better service and products in the future.

if you push on the mesh with your fingers does it dent it? or is it flexible? does it hold its shape? or does it get messed up if you dent it?

It has some flex in it, but when applied right it is tight as can be. The mesh is thick enough that it wont sage or bend.

As for denting, can't say I've tried that, but it's plastic and very resilient so I would say no it won't get messed up.

Any other questions just ask.

well, i just thought i would chime in here. although i don't have the mesh installed on my car, i have seen it installed on a dozen more cars and it really does make a nice improvement (especially for those with a widemouth front bumper and no FMIC behind it)

in all honesty, the stuff that came with our friend's authentic Top Secret front bumper looked like the grille of my barbeque, or part of some minimum security chicken coop. it was bright silver, with a huge weave, hard as a rock, and jagged metal around the edges... it was a nightmare. it was also square and slightly oversized for the opening (same as the customautomesh). we took it outta the box and were like WTF?

as far as the mounting solution, these aftermarket bumpers come with wire so thin, i wouldn't even use it for my speakers. (this goes for both replicas AND even top of the line authentic bumpers) the 14ga solid wire they include with the C.A.M. grill is MUCH more secure... $2 epoxy from home depot and those things aren't going anywhere

like i said, i don't have the product on my car. but when the time comes that i put my bodykit on, i'll be using customautomesh. and not just because i know the 2 guys that run it, but because, for the $20, i'd rather know that the mesh is going to be pre-cut to fit, flexible enough to install without bleeding hands, and is never going to need repainting (if only they could invent a front bumper that was colored all the way thru like their mesh lol). if i'm spending several thousand dollars to purchase, fit, paint, and install a bodykit, i'm not going to worry about my grills chipping and needing to be repainted in a year (especially with the roads around here like they are).
