Removing OEM Body side moldings

anyone removed the optional body side moldings after they have been installed?
BTW: this is on a black 04 coupe, so they have been on a while.

some guy jst did it............he mentioned using a hot glue gun.........search it

A hot glue gun to take it OFF?

Ya, put hot glue all around the molding and also in the gas tank. To ensure no leftover marks put some hot glue in the cracks of the door.
