What modifications are necessary (to plastic trim, moldings, drilling holes, etc) to mount these?

Drill one hole each side,mount bracket to hood hinge with factory nut each side,Trim a little plastic on covers.Very simple.takes only about 1/2 hour to do.

Any removal or cutting of plastic trim necessary? It doesn't look like it from the pictures, but I haven't looked at this area closely under the hood.

As caskyline said, very minor cutting....there is a template we made for where to cut. A dremel makes it really easy. We can do it if you don't have the tools.

How about some closer pics of where the damper connect to the body of the car by the cover? It would be greatly appreciated.

These dampers work well and look great. 3 months so far and no problems. They are quite a bit cheaper than the Tein.
