How much did you pay for window tinting?
170 for a coupe... 5% in back and rear, 35% in front. lifetime, wont turn purple..... this place has been in business for 15 years and all the dealerships within 5 miles use this place (chevy, ford, toyota, honda, acura, kia, and nissan). I had gotten a small bubble in the front window and they replaced the tint yeaterday!!
I'd have to go out on a limb and say I have the most expensive tint job around (not because its that good - but because i'm that dumb - but it IS excellent quality
)
First time tinted - 20% huper optik all around, 50% on windshield - $450
Two months later got tired of it, had it all stripped off - $140
Windshield got scratched during removal - $225 replacement (tinter paid that)
Wanted tint again - got huper optik 60% all around including windshield again - $450
Decided 60% was too light, added a second layer of 50% all around (except windshield) - $225
Windshield cracked - replaced for $292, retinted again for $150
I didn't do the math to add it all together because if i ever did that it would just upset me

Man you guys got it cheap. I paid $320 for 50% front and 15% rear using Formula One Pinnacle series tint. Just got my front two redone with 15%, they only charged $60 because Im a returning customer
$107.95 yesterday. still have some bubbles in it so hopefully those go away. they put vinyl over the dot matrix in the rear and right now it looks like crap. i'll give it a week for it to dry before i complain. i would have gladly paid double that price for a quality job.
i got 20% and it's a lot darker than i thought it would be!

$420 for Huper Optik Ceramic 30 all around. Good overall job. The dot matrix area looks uniform. The installer filed the edges on the front windows to have the tint go all the way up to the edge without the tint line. He also put the tint a bit under the rubber sail and below the rubber seal mark using what looked like a thin plastic putty spreader to open up the rubber seals on the windows. He also disengaged the switch on the door that automatically lowers the window a bit when the car door is open during installation. So far so good, from the two years it's been on, there has been two noticeable bubbles about 1-3mm on the rear which I don't care about much. Overall, very happy.
I paid $490 from Premier here in the Bay Area (they're sponsors as well) after moving up here from socal. Don't remember the name, but it was ceramic film. All windows including the windshield. 60 on windshield 50 on driver's side, 35 on the rears. Took care of the dot matrix w/o any problems and on the driver / passenger windows, they shaved the edges so that there are no gaps at all. Best tint job I've ever had and will not be the last from them. Check 'em out - www.premiermobilegroup.com. I'm gonna have them take my old clear bra off doen by a company in socal and replace it w/ their custom stuff.
This morning I was pulled over for not having front plates. The cop asked me to open my door so that he could inspect the tint. he couldn't tell it was tinted!!!! LOL I think it was because I had the windshield tinted too so he wasn't too sure. I think he was looking for that gap on the edge. He just wrote me up for my front plates and let me go. From my personal experience, if you guys are gonna get your tints, make sure you get them to shave teh edges. I'm pretty sure that's what saved me! Phew
