How much did you pay for window tinting?

I received and estimate for $299 for Madico tint. The shop has won awards for nine years running and he offers a money back guarantee. He will tint the entire back window (no brake light cut out) and will tint over the dot matrix. Anyone here pay in that range for a tint job?

Wow, where are you guys? I paid $120 for 15%, and he spent a lot of time on the dot matrix and the tops of the driver side doors (because they go up/dn every time the door opens). I have always dealt with guys who have been in the biz for many years, offer life time warranties and have never seen more than $150 for a coupe, $220 for an SUV.

I paid 225 in Rhode island.
1) NO window tint is legal in RI (im a mass resident, and ri exempts non-residents),
2) Window tinting isnt huge up here. Only about a half dozen shops in all of rhode island.
So prices are going to be up there. 200+ is all I found for my car.

That being said, Im having serious issues with this guy. He stated he put on llumar 20%. Its reading 23%-24% with a calibrated tint meter. With the factory UV tint, i should be reading 13-15%, definately less than 20. Pure glass alone should be an extra 3-4%! Also all I got was a recipt, no warante card. said I dont need it, just the recipt. Thats BS, llumar requires warante card w/ roll ID on it. Also there are three artifacts including a hair on my back window, and he did a crappy job cutting around the 3rd brake light, you know the one that is disabled becasue I have a spoiler! Said "we dont pull rear decks out, so i couldnt not cut out for it". I'll give this ****bag one attempt to re-tint my ENTIRE rear window (ill pull the friggin deck before I go in) and give me my warantee card. I wont hesitate to make his life miserable. Im the idiot that paid debit, not credit. At least with credit i could dispute the charges since he seemingly charged me for product he didnt deliver..

Excuese my rant, but im tired, hungry, and getting more and more bothered about this every time I think about it...

$250 for 35% sides and 20% back three. Tinting is expensive on VA... I have to go back and get the dot matrix area redone. Arrrggg. At least there is a warranty so I won't have to pay anything.

$170 in MD for 20% Madico film on a coupe. They sanded the dot matrix before install to make the tint stick. For the side windows, they shaved the edge so it looks factory without the tint line.

$189 in Tampa for 20% 3M Scotchtint , computer cut out. I like it better than the llamar which I usually get for my other cars. Much clearer.

I think that tinting on a G coupe is a VERY easy job for the tinters because there is no window trim on the doors. The rear sides is a chicken wing.

Paid $250 to get all the windows (minus front) tinted @ 30%. Lifetime warranty. Also, in california, tinting the front windows is illegal, regardless of the percentage. This place told me that they will always remove the front window tint completely free of charge if I receive a fix-it ticket and need it removed. That little extra service is worth a little extra few $$$.

Also, I dont know about you guys, but this is also not some ghetto tint place where they dont actually bake on the tint with the windows removed from the car(side windows).
