Need ideas to paint CF hood

I've got an IP coupe, but gone in an accident and I'm in the market for a new hood.

I could get the stock hood or a CF hood, so I thought similar price, why not get a CF hood. However, I'm not 100% fond of the "black CF hood on a white car" type of look. Therefore, I thought of painting most of the hood IP and leaving a pattern/trace/areas of the hood unpainted (could be a sharp cutoff or blending) to show the carbon fibre weaving.

Any ideas?

my friend had a silver A4 with a CF hood and I loved the look. It makes it look more aggressive. The only problem is, cops pay attention to cars like that even more and you are more likely to get pulled over for some stupid thing.

Get Seibon TS hood and leave the vents CF, and paint the rest. I have seen it on CB coupe and it looks pretty darn sweet. I think it would look even sweeter on IP.

Also, something I considered when thinking about a CF hood, was painting up to the curved lines on the hood, leaving the middle section CF (like others have done). My only spin was going to be seperating the paint/line break with detail/pinstripe line. I'm IP, and I was going to use DG at the line break, with a thin CF stip between the two DG pinstripes. It would have been sublte and only noticeable up close, but I think the effect would have very nice. The idea stems from custom paint jobs that I would see in the street-rod scene... ...with the obvious exception that CF was nowhere to be found on those cars.

If you're not into having the entire middle of the hood exposed CF, you might be able to incorporate the pinstripe/detail idea. It would be cool to have at least a tiny bit of CF exposed like that, IMO.

i was thinkin about "ghosting" the VIS OEM style CF hood to IP. So when looked upon closely, the CF weaving will still be visible. A mix between exotic and class.

Can someone post a picture that shows this? I'm just contemplating, but I don't actually know how will it look. THanks so much.

I was thinking about trying this (the ghosting) but it turned out to be a PITA for the body shop and I had them paint the outside area of the hood and clearcoat over the hole thing... It turned out awsome
