Did you send them a lot of photos (slides or hi-res digital)? A lot of these magazines never ever see the cars they feature, other than the pics sent in. That's why there's rarely ever any driving impressions and only the parts/mods listed... ...along with some BS filler they add to constitute an article.

I only ask because your car definately has what it takes and really should see some coverage.
