does this really need body work? LOOK!

took it to a shop they quoted me at over $750.00 for body work, paint and all that. they said since its on the edge/curve of the car it can't be popped back into shape, with paintless dent removal.
(sorry i posted this b4)
unfortunately you do...because the dent is on the lines of the car...you can't get a place to just pop it out...had it been on a flat surface you can...i know cuz that happend to my 325i and I called hella places and they all told me the same thing....and yes they will need to repaint that spot.
I'm sure there are PDR places that can pop it out, the issue is whether or not its going to look like new again, they may be able to decrease it by say 80%, and if you can live with that, then go with PDR, if you want it perfect, then likely you will have to take it to a body shop. I am in a similar predicament, but I think I will live with the 80% improvement, rather than have the entire quarter panel painted and blended. Too much money, and its likely that something similar will happen again, and you'll have to go through the same thing again. Its just a car, and will likely not be noticeable to anyone else, except you once it is fixed.
yea, i'm gonna call around some more, however theres not no many PDR's in hawaii. if they have to drill in my door frame then should i just leave it? or does anyone know if I can do it myself with DRY ICE or if its accessible threw the back?
750? they better make the car brand new..... thats more than i paid to take out my dents, and paint/install my body kit

Even with body work, 750 is WAY TOO MUCH. Try PDR first and if that doesn't work, go to another bodyshop that does good work for reasonable price... even with repair and paint, I just don't see how it can add up to 750.
We had horrible hail damage to our MDX with dozens of quarter size dents. Some on curves and creases. It was taken out with paintless dent removal to new condition. If the paint isn't damage, it's definately worth a try for a fraction of the cost. You just need to find a good shop.
