If you're looking for a dye, I would suggest VHT over Dupli-Color.

it was not real suede, it feels looks and like suede but is some kind of synthetic. I don't know exactly what it is called or made of but I got it at a fabric store.

Looks so sick. I wish it came like that from the factory(plus the headliner).

Dumb question but is a fabric store the best place to find suede or like suede material for us DIYer's?

I've been thinking about adding some suede to the interior of my sedan. All the cars I have seen in person with it are very nice. Nice touch.

Thanks.

I don't know if it's the best place to get it, it's kind of hard to find. I'm sure an upolstery store or car audio place will have it, but it will probably be more expensive there.

Thanks DH. I found this place online. I have requested a couple of samples to see before I buy. They have many different colors. http://www.fieldsfabrics.com/ultra/soft_samp.htm

Well if imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, consider yourself flattered. I did my A pillars this morning and love it. Now I have to figure out how to remove the rear sections and headliner. I bought some faux suede @ Joann fabrics for a whopping $4.95/yard + $5 for the spray adhesive = $15 for 10X too much fabric and at least 3/4 of the can of adhesive left.

Thanks for the great idea.

have fun with the rear... you need to take out the seats, then the bottom panel, then the pillar comes off.

Gawd damn. That sounds like a bit more effort than I'd thought. Front or rear seats?
