Black dash kit-non titanium

The titanium trim is pretty cheesy and overall I think it looks bad compared to the blakc trim other g35's get. Has anyone thought of switching the titanium trim for the black-graphite looking one?

I agree with you about the "titanium." Unfortunately, other people have reported that it costs over $1000 to replace it with the black dash. Don't know if that's with Nav or without.

Picture this....willow carpet and seats mated with a black dash (with or without the "titanium" trim) and a black headliner and pillars. It could be done. Sort of a two tone look.
Or does that get a big.....Naaaaa..? :-)

The titanium does look cheap; but in my opinion the stock black looks even worse. So as between the two, titanium was my choice.
Infiniti needs to re-think the interior on the G.
For those of us with the cars now, I don't know of a good aftermarket solution, yet........

the titanium adds contrast to the interior. The straight black looks nice as well, but no contrast and like a giant rubber blob.

I think a change from cheesy-plastic wanna-be titanium-like plastic to a custom billet might fit the bill(et).

Does anybody know of a good Billet shop that returns emails, phone calls - or cares about work anymore? Most places I've found only want to sell F150 or Chevy flame grilles.

I for one would welcome the cold touch of metal on a solid door handle!

Re: Black dash kit-non titanium

My compaint with the titanium is that it is more champagne than titanium. Titanium is more grey and less gold that the plastic in the G.

That said, my wife prefered it for her car over the black, so I guess it works.

Re: Black dash kit-non titanium

I would definatly be intrested in real Aluminum dash. I think both the Coupe and 4 door are the same. Think lots of people would want this if it was made well and not some cheep plastic coated stick on.

My guess would be that most people would want the Center Console. Maybe a few other accent pices like the upper glove box where nav is located. just check out what Dash Kits look like for templets. The real trick is not to over do it like the kits out there with 35 parts!

I think some carbon fiber would look nice in there.

Might not be hard to do with some DIY CF material and some creativity / patience.
