Door autolock and radio question

Door autolock and radio question
Any help on these 2 questions are appreciated:
1)My car (G35 sedan) doors never lock by themselves. I have heard that it should do that after you park and leave. What do I need to do?
2)I do not notice the radio volume getting louder or quieter by itself (high setting) when driving/stopping. Any way to show that it is working?
Thanks.

G35EC,
You can follow this post to find out more about the door locking. https://g35driver.com/forums/showfla...sed&sb=5&part=
Basically you will find that the doors will not lock until either the lock or unlock button is pressed and no door is opened after pressing a button. The doors will then lock after a couple of minutes.
Merlin.

Re: Door autolock and radio question
Hello nadz240 and Merlin,
Thanks for your responses. Regarding the auto volume adjustment due to car ambient noise, I already had the SCV at max setting. But I just do not notice any differnce at all in the volume when there is lots of road noise or when it is quiet (car stopped). I have to constantly adjust the volume manually. Do you know where the microphone that detects the ambient noise is? I suspect this feature is not working on my radio.

Re: Door autolock and radio question
It is not controlled by the actual ambient noise inside the car, rather it is based soley off the speed you are travelling. The radio assumes more road noise at higher speeds, and less at lower speeds and adjusts the volume level accordingly. The easiest way to notice if it is working is listen when you slow down to a stop, such as at a stop sign. You should notice the radio volume decrease slightly. However, keep in mind the feature is supposed to make the volume sound the same at all times, so you aren't really supposed to "notice" it adjusting the volume.

I didn't notice it at first (sound), but after a while I did... and now, I can always tell that its working.
