Seatbelt problems on sedan

Hi,

My driver seat seatbelt buckle often clicks when I come to a stop or make a turn. As I have not have so many people in the other seats, I do not know if they have the same problem. It is annoying and potentially can be dangerous if there is really something wrong with the buckle. Is there an official fix to this?

Also, I find that if I pull the seatbelts (all my seatbelts do this except for the driver seat seatbelt) all the way out, it will only retract and cannot be extended anymore until I let it retract all the wayback in. So if someone extends the seatbelt all the way while buckling up, then the seatbelt gets tighter and tighter during the ride. Is this a problem or is it normal (why driver seatbelt different)?

Thanks for any answers.

Re: Seatbelt problems on sedan

If the seatbelts are pulled all the way out they can only retract not extent. This is so when child safety seat is installed it can be snugged tight and not flop all over the place. That's why the drivers belt will always retract( I don't think you should put a child that young behind the wheel)
Replacing the seatbelt buckle should resolve your other complaint.

Had the driver's seat belt replaced beginning of Sept. Helped a lot, but I think I just started to notice a bit of clicking again.

Re: Seatbelt problems on sedan

Anyone who is having this problem needs to take in to their dealer and have it replaced. One week after getting my G my 11 year old daughter, sitting in the back passenger side seat, somehow got tangled in the seat belt. The belt wouldn't extend any more, and it was so tight that it was cutting into her neck and she was choked. We had to cut the belt. When we called Infiniti Customer Care they said they hadn't heard anything like this before.
