Stone Interior Question.

Ok, so our local Infiniti dealer has 2 used coupes on the lot.
2003 Obsidian Black / Graphite interior and a 2005 Serengeti Sand / Stone interior

Both cars look great and the mileage is good for their respective years. But I'm leaning towards the 2005 SS

I have never owned a car with a light colored interior mainly because of the fear of dirts and stains.

Now my question is.....

Is it really hard to keep the Stone interior clean?

And to all the Stone interior owners, any regrets on the color choice ??

Thanks in advance for your replys.

I really like my stone interior, and it beats the heat, and great looking. I would get it again as the only option to in in my car color is charcoal and it is a real heat magnet...

It's actually not too difficult to keep the interior clean, I vacuum the carpet once a month, wipe down the doors when I wash the car....still looks brand new. I'm not **** about washing my G either like some of the owners here.
I also find the stone interior/ black dash more classy & luxurious, with a touch of sportiness.

I understand your concern over the interior color, but to me the bigger issue is: buy the newest version you can afford.

Stone is a great colour, and the leather is easy to keep clean...there's only one colour I's be hesitant of as an interior, and thats white...

Great color, and I think the headliner is also the same color which makes for a wonderful combo with the black trim. No, it isn't hard to keep clean but you do have to be careful wearing things like blue jeans that can transfer color if it is wet (which is common sense for most light color material).

Has this ever happened to anyone? Usually new jeans stop losing color after the initial wash. My guess you would have to come in from a downpour and it would need to be hot. If this is true, how hard would it be to remove the discoloration? Hmm, might have to consider keeping some clear plastic handy.

I don't regret my stone interior, just make sure you don't let the dust build up too much.

No, hasn't happened to me. Like you said, only if it is pouring outside and you sit down. Now, this is true even if you aren't wearing jeans and it is pouring outside, just put a towel down and you'll be all set.

P.S. I have seen others who didn't do this and have seen some color transfer so it does happen once in a while.

Ah yes, white/beige towels more comfy. Now that I think of it, gotta be caeful who you pickup from the beach, those colorful blankets won't do! Good tip.

just be aware that the stone isn't as grey as one might imagine.

it does veer towards the tan side of things. I like mine but when I saw my car after I ordered it, the color was not what I had imagined as in it was less of a monochrome cross breed than a warm hue between grey and tan.
