Question about part on OEM 6MT shift ****
Hey guys...
My OEM 6MT shift **** was worn out pretty bad. I decided to purchase a new one. Installation was very easy using vice grips. Problem is that when I started driving around, I noticed a rattle. I took off the shift **** and this piece came out. I re-installed it without the part and there is no rattle
My question is, is this part necessary? I am not using loctite so that may be why it was rattling? Should I just re-install the piece and use loctite? Which side is the top? THANKS.

^^^ well.... im pretty sure it only goes on one way. Thing is that the factory uses loctite which probably held that piece in place. I didn't use loctite which makes me think that is why the part was loose in there.

^^^ lol.
Funny thing is that one time a girl was sitting in the back and all of a sudden she asks me why I have a tampon in the car. I was like WTF? Then I remembered the first aid kit. Way too much useless stuff.
