Do you have nav? if not if could be something in that compartment where the nav screen goes. Check everything in all the compartments, it could be the rattling.

I have had this rattle in my car for awhile now too. I thought it was coming from the deck, but turns out it was the rear view mirror. I don't know how to fix it properly though. temporarily maybe a rubber band around it?

Have any of you had your OEM radio fixed by the dealer? I know when I had mine done prior to putting the double din I had some rattles. Come to find out it was the bracket for the nav was not completely screwed down.

No NAV...not coming from the mirror. No stereo on, just a bumpy road.

I have found the driver's side sun visor has a rattle, I would bet this is what most think is the rearview mirror rattle. Unlatch your sunvisor and see if it stops

I also found a common rattle spot to be the glove compartment. Unlatch that and that rattle willl go away too. I tried sticky felt pads in both areas, and it didnt help at all.

Oh yea, I'm also getting a slight rattle from the window seal area on the driver's side door. It's right by my ear.

The rattles are not too bad and only manifest themselves every so often, but they are still annoying

Car still rocks though

the area where the clock is where the rattling sound comes from the most. at least on my car. drives me nuts, causing me to pound at it. probably not the smartest thing to do.

I have rattles too. instead of trying to fix them. I just drive with the music loud. But yea it sucks when you turn off the music.

i have the same as KYEGUY82. Seems to come from the clock... though I haven't pounded on it yet.
If I'm going really slow or just idling it's really loud, but as soon as I accelerate, gone.
Driving me nuts.

i've got the exact same thing as well rattle from what sounds like behind the clock. pulled the cover off, felt around, and couldn't feel anything loose. tightened the "alarm" LED down and reinforced the plug with tape since that was the only thing that seemed loose, but i've still got it.

i have a feeling this is another of the many things that a bunch of people are seeing but no one really knows why. anyone that knows anything at all about this, please chime in, even if it's just to link to another thread with a solution.

Rattles are tough to find in our cars, as there are so damn many. The rearview mirror with the Homelink has many. There is an entire detailed thread on this site on taking the mirror apart and sealing it with slicone. Do a search as there are many helpful pictures. Unfortunately, there are still numerous other places that rattle.
