Got my front seat cushion replaced.

Well I brought my car in a few weeks back to get the TSB performed for the leather ripping on the side of the drivers seat. Keep in mind I have 35,000 miles and normal wear and tear on the seat and they replaced it with a brand new leather cushion with no questions asked. I couldn't be happier and my car has that new leather smell again...Anyways I have an 05 coupe and this service was performed at Orlando Infiniti in case anyone else is trying to get this procedure done.

Does it have to be ripped? Mine has 35k miles and looks like a 90 year old smoker's face.

unfortunately it has to have a rip right at the corner closest to the drivers door. If you feel underneat the seat it is sharp which is why it ripped. Having the new cushion makes the drivers seat look 100 times better.

Interior trims are warrantied with a manager's approval the interior trim has to be damaged (not normal wear and tear) meaning if its faded.. no its just wear and tear.. BUT if the threads are coming apart or if it fits poorly / loose then its warrantiable

I have to take mine in to get it replaced as well. My 05 suffers from the same "defect". Mine is ripped right in that area and I can feel how sharp it is.

^ I would imagine that it's covered, but I can't see how that would happen with normal usage.
Just the same, call the dealer or just drive in and show it to them.
