air bag anti-theft bolt

air bag anti-theft bolt

i need to take off the Drivers Side Air Bag Anti-Theft Bolt, does anyone have the Unique key used for the bolt or know how to take off b/c im going to swap air bag covers thanks

tamper proof t-30 torx bit

get at almost any hardware store like sears, harbor freight, home depot, etc

ah yes you are right, sorry forgot to mention the torx security bit thanks for catching that!

This isn't the t-30 tamper proof bolt... it's a dealer installed bolt with an irregular head, that requires a Nissan tool to remove. I had one on my car, along with the tamper proof torx on the other side - I had to drill it out.

oh boy this might explain why i stripped one of my two bolts. i ended up drilling it out, so its hard for me to say for sure that they were the same on both sides. they sure looked the same.

Edit: from the picture on my nismo, the head seems pretty different from the T-30. at this point i would say that i had identical bolts on both sides.

will the dealer remove it or will they tell me something for trying to remove the airbag due to warrenty

just ask the service advisor if you could borrow the tool. that way you r removing it and not them
