Squeak in dash of 03 sedan
My front tires are out of balance and it is causing a squeak in the dash. I have torn everything out short of the actual dash. I drove down the road and it still sounds like its coming from the dash over the glovebox. Oh my GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am about to go for a drive from Kentucky to Florida and I want this squeak gone. I know, I know, I'll get my tires balanced. But does anyone have any idea where that squeak might be coming from?
I don't have any sunglasses in the holder above. I don't even have any of my glove boxes in the car and its still squeaking from in the dash. I took out my in cabin air filter to check if maybe the fan was causing it. The fan is silent as the grave. ARRGGGHHHHH.

Ok, had the tires balanced and the squeak was still there. I tore apart the dash again and still couldn't find anything. I then popped the hood to the engine compartment and took the lid off of the battery compartment and I noticed that I could see my air filter if I looked just right. So that made me think, "that's where the noise was coming from". So I started looking around in the battery compartment and low and behold I find that the battery tie down bolts were loose and when I went to touch them, they made that same squeak.
I tightend the bolts down and took it for a test drive down to lowe's to pick up some felt just in case that wasn't what was causing it. The noise was gone, but I went ahead and bought the felt since I had the whole dash taken out. I went ahead and used the felt on all the contact points in the dash. My god that took all day, but squeak free now.
