I need to tap into the cigarette lighter to run dedicated wires to my Valentine V1, but I cannot remove the 2005 AT "console finisher" to get at the rear of the lighter.The service manual (IP-12) is not very helpful, since I have no idea how to "remove clips from the console finisher" if I can't remove it in the first place. I have read the other posts, but they mainly deal with the 6MT consoles. I have tried yanking up with my fingers at the rear of the leather boot as suggested for the 6MT console, but it doesn't budge. Any suggestions?

 

check the audio video electronics section or the DIY area on how to remove it. but use a tiny flat head and go all the way around to pop it up.
