REAL Brushed Aluminum Interior

Hello all:

I'm new to the board and really enjoy it. I was wondering if anyone knows of a place that makes REAL aluminum dash kits for the G35 sedan.

I am talking to a company about it now and they are interested. Say they want a digital pic. of my dash to proceed. So if no one else is doing it, I'll let you all know how my efforts proceed.

My dealer is also interested. Could be some good cash in it for someone.

Anyways it occured to me that I may be reinventing the wheel here and that maybe someone out there is already doing this.

If you know of anyone, particularly in the Chicago area(but anywhere will do), please let me know.

I'm also looking to get the same thing done to the inner door handles and lock switches.

Thanks all

Re: REAL Brushed Aluminum Interior

There was a post a while back in the Sedan forum from a company in Atlanta I think, that was looking for someone to use as a template for a brushed aluminium kit.
Try doing a search to see if you can find it. But do it on All forums just in case it was moved.

Re: REAL Brushed Aluminum Interior

I talked to my dealer about buying the plastic consol and center stack covers for the coupe that are ":titanium" colored to use as models for a mold which then could be used to cast real aluminum . I already have two scratches on these parts and one on the drivers door pull. I think this is very possible to do if you know a place that does precision casting. There should be a definite market for it.
ps: the dealer said that they have removed these parts when servicing the radio and heater controls. I havn't gone back yet for a price on these parts. I would have gladly paid $500 more for the car if this had been aluminum from the begining.
I would be interested in any feed back on this issue.
thanks
