I looked at my 06 mirror and I have the regular one, yet the metal plate matches the one pictured here for the premium. Maybe infiniti changed the plate setup on later year Gs.

 

Possible.... The non premium pick I posted is my 03 sedan... The premium pick is my father in laws 05 coupe

 

update, i tried to put the premium mirror from an 04 AWD to an 06 sedan (which had a regular basic one) And it fitted without a problem, i still didnt install it yet though, so i didnt do the wiring yet,

 

i notice most of you guys are sedans...but i had a non-premium package for my coupe and purchased a gentex homelink dimming mirror. bolted up without any problems. wiring consists of a 12v source and a ground.

 

I just remembered. I have a brand new '03 Premium mirror available if anyone is interested.

 

I think the 03 sedan was the only windsheild with a square connection instead of the normal connection. I actually purchased a premium mirror and used some epoxy to join the square connection on the glass to the metal tab thats normally on the glass... Then slid the premium mirror on...
