^ It should be pretty much the same as in the coupe. However I read that for the '05 and up, the shifter can sit much lower than the stock with the leather boot.

Incorrect install!!!!

you aren't supposed to remove the plastic extender piece. If you do, it does sit lower, but you wont be able to add a shift boot if you also wanted to do this.

Also, you are missing a rubber piece to secure the screws (it goes around the shaft of the lever). If you do not have this rubber piece on you will constantly have to adjust the ****...

That's pretty much it besides getting a Razo ****. The 05 **** requires quite a bit of modifying in order to make it work with the 03 and 04

I'm aware of the plastic extender piece but I'm not interested in adding a shift boot. I still like to keep the shifter console stock-looking.

I actually do have the rubber adapter pieces but I've read up that they are not necessarily needed for the install. I haven't had problems with adjustment of the **** yet.

Thanks for the great installation guide. I was able to get my new **** on in under half an hour.

When I was doing the test fit for my **** I noticed that it was crooked (probably because I didn't screw in the three screws in equal proportions). What I did was use one of the adapters that came with it. I believe these adapters are supposed to be used on standard transmissions. I found the adapter with the best fit and then snipped off the end with a pair of scissors. Then fitted it on to the shaft. Then put the **** over it. This seemed to help and I was able to screw in the **** without it wiggling all over the place (but still tried to screw the 3 screws in with equal propotions).

Thanks again!

yep, this momo is about 27 times better than the stock.
aside from it being obese, the stock was also too high. very uncomfortable when using the arm rest. never needed or thought to install an aftermarket shifter on any car I've ever owned until the G.

to help align the shifter and keep it from wobbling, I used one of the rubber spacers but cut a whole in the top of it so the button mechanism goes through it. the spacer sits on the main part of the lever and not the stick for the button. i think people should consider doing this, really helps minimize any wiggle room and prevents too much stress on the friction fit screws at the bottom.
