I have a rip there as well. So I guess I should take this in. Do all dealers warranty this as it may be a known issue or will I be hassled?

^^^ when I took mine in one of the techs said he had never seen it before and I would have to pay… but the next day I took it again and showed the service manager and he said he would replace it under warranty right away… he said that should not happen

its a 2005 Coupe. Does the year matter in regards to the leather seat ripping warranty?
